• In-mold Technology - This technology allows a strong bond between the outer shell and foam through a molding process under pressure and high temperature. • Ceramic Shell - The outer shell of all ALPINA helmets made by the IN-MOLD method is called CERAMIC. This very thin and lightweight polycarbonate is extremely break- and scratch-resistant, UV-resistant, and antistatic. • Hi Eps - The inner shell of all IN-MOLD helmets is made of HI-EPS (highly expanded polystyrene), a special fine-grained material consisting of many microscopic air cells. Upon impact, these bubbles absorb forces and provide protective cushioning. IN-MOLD helmets with HI-EPS therefore provide the best possible protection. This protection lasts a long time as the HI-EPS structure does not absorb water or sweat. • Edge Protect is a polycarbonate plate connected to the lower edge of the helmet on all models with IN-MOLD technology. This is a very important additional safety feature for side impacts and an effective protection against helmet damage during daily use. • Ergo Matic - Ergonomically shaped strap fastening system. The buckle is easy to use with one hand. • Y CLIP connects the front and rear straps and fixes them comfortably under the ear. Precise strap adjustment is very easy and quick. • AIRFLOW VENTS - Ventilation openings in the right points effectively prevent stuffiness and provide refreshing “air conditioning.” • Run System - Simplified and sturdy dial adjustment system that easily and securely keeps the helmet in place on the head. • Fly Net - To protect against insect bites, some Alpina helmet models have an internal protective mesh on the front ventilation openings. • Shield Protect - This detachable visor protects you from dirt and direct sunlight.
